Mail-In Longarm Quilting Services
Looking for someone to get your quilt top and backing quilted together?
We’d love to share our creativity and expertise with you and your project!
Our Longarm Quilting Service
We are pleased to offer computerized Edge-to-Edge (E2E) quilting services! We know it can be a little nerve-wracking to send your work off to someone to handle this step of the project, and we offer a collaborative approach to our mail-in quilting services to help mitigate some of that anxiety. You can expect touch points at minimum:
When your quilt is received
Our plan is locked into place
When your quilt is on the machine
Once it is packed and ready to be shipped back, and
When it has been shipped back to you with insurance and a tracking number
Turnaround time is currently 1-2 weeks from the date we receive your quilt top and backing. Quilts are done on APQS machines with Quilt Path. We do offer a range of batting options so you don’t have to worry about purchasing and shipping batting with your quilt top and backing!
Our Process
Quilting Request Form
Once you have your quilt top assembled and measurements taken, complete and submit our Quilting Request Form.
Finalize Order and Ship
Once your Request Form has been received, we will review it and send you a confirmation email, along with our address for shipping. You then send your quilt topper and backing our way!
Receive and Stitch
Once your package arrives to us, we’ll get it over to our machines promptly. If you have opted into text updates on your Request Form, you will receive updates including photos and video of your quilt on the machine!
Home Again
Once done on the longarm, your project will be on the way back to you shortly. We return via USPS, with insurance for the value of your quilt and you will be sent the tracking information.
What You’ll Need to Decide
-
Take some time to review our Pattern options! We are also able to source additional patterns from Urban Elementz if you have something specific in mind you don’t see on in our Pattern Library.
-
Thread can be one of the most subtle and effective ways to tie creativity into your project! Do you want your top thread to blend, pop with a fun accent color from your fabrics, or something totally contrasting? Bobbin thread will also need to be specified as blending or a color pop.
-
Are you envisioning looser quilting or a more dense arrangement? Most patterns can be size adjusted to meet density needs. If a particular pattern is not suitable for your density request, we will work through options together.
-
We offer five different batting options at very reasonable prices! You’ll indicate on your Request Form which batting option you’d like to use or if you’ll be sending your own.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Linds brings a passion for quilting and creativity into our work, driven by skills honed while apprenticing with one of the best longarmers in the business!
-
We charge $0.03 per square inch for our E2E quilting services, with a minimum quilt top service of $50.
Post longarm trimming can be added to your order for an additional $15.
Pressing seams is the client’s responsibility. If a quilt top arrives in such condition that seams must be pressed prior to going on the longarm, there is a fee of $1 per minute of pressing time. -
At this time, our longarm services are limited to E2E quilting and an additional option to trim after quilting.
We do not offer binding services.
At this time we do not offer freemotion custom quilting, but we look forward to adding this service in the future! -
Lexi snuggles do not come standard with longarm services, as we try our best to minimize the dog hair that gets shipped back to you. However, you may absolutely request Lexi snuggles on your Request Form; she is always delighted to provide her Quality Assurance services!
-
Absolutely! Linds & Lex are huge fans of minky quilts and have a great amount of practice with the material. The cozier, the better in our opinion!
Our request: if you are sending minky, please thoroughly shake your cut out and package it in a separate sealed bag or saran wrap prior to placing in the box with your quilt top. This will help reduce the potential for minky fuzz chaos. -
At least an extra 4” on each side of the quilt. With computerized quilting, it’s far better to have too much than too little.
We highly encourage keeping selvedges if at all possible, especially on widebacks. This allows your quilt to be loaded as straight as possible on the machine.
If you have a pieced backing, we recommend using a 0.5” seam and ask that you press the seam prior to shipping.
Please note that paneled backs or similar that require a particular alignment cannot be guaranteed to have perfect alignment due to the nature of the process.

We use polyester threads: Glide and So Fine.
Glide is our shiny/glossy version for when you want the quilting to pop and show a little more.
So Fine is our matte option for when you’d like the quilting to blend in a little more.
We use bobbins that are pre-wound with polyester thread. -
This is entirely up to you! You’ll indicate on your Request Form if you’d like to be consulted on final thread colors and size layout prior to starting stitching, or if you’d like us to use our best judgement based on the info provided in the Request Form.
